Drums

My work to restore these antique drums comes also from my love for music and drumming. I typically look for drums that are at the end of there road and bring them back to life with full restorations, and give them a fresh look and integrity in hopes they'll last another generation.

Cocktail table

Vintage Champion marching drum, restored, custom painted and converted to what I refer to as a cocktail table. Have a drink, relax and get primal. Drumstick legs turned on a lathe and a removable glass top make this a playable instrument. SOLD

Ludwig Marching Snare

This is a vintage Ludwig marching snare. Had some mild staining in midsection of drum, so I primed and painted over stains of Mahogany shell. I went for a earthy, organic design and did some floral scrollwork on drum. Earthy colors of blues and greens go so well with the rich Mahogany wood. $475.00

Scrollwork on Marching Snare

I wanted a softer side to this drum and went with a floral pattern. I just went for it and did this free hand with paint markers with no sketches prior. Just breathed and let it flow.

Raven Snare

This is a custom snare drum that I currently play. It is a 12 ply maple drum, stained red. I painted raven scenes between each set of lugs. This is my first drum I've designed and built. It's a very fun and meticulous process, but not actually very hard...I would encourage other drummers to build a drum.

Raven Snare

Other side 3 panels on snare drum.

Children's Drum

1930s Ludwig children's drum restored with original hide head. Fully restored drum. Having original hide head makes this drum not a "player", as the hide is fragile. I made a stand of steam bent white oak and floral petals with a lathe turned centerpiece and gold gilded medallions to hold the drum and expose its delicacy. One could replace head and play drum. $1,200.00

Drum Table

This is a Mahogany drum from the 1930's era. I turned this into a table, with a wooden "head" and put a Juniper base on it. Drum is complete with original hardware complete with original snares underneath. SOLD
